How to submit a tool
Paste a URL, watch directree crawl the site and build a fully labelled listing in about 30 seconds, then review and publish.

How to submit a tool
Submitting on directree is one input: a URL. The site does the rest.
The flow
- Sign in and go to /submit.
- Paste the tool's website URL and start the crawl. You'll see the steps live: fetching the site, reading the pricing page, detecting integrations, capturing a screenshot, and writing the honest summary.
- About 30 seconds later you get a full listing preview – observed facts marked ✓ Verified, AI text marked ✦ AI-inferred (see the honesty labels).
- Review and adjust before publishing:
- Images – reorder or add gallery images (the first one is the header).
- Demo links – optionally add a YouTube video and/or an interactive product demo link.
- Plan model – paid, subscription, free, or freemium. This is your input, never crawled or guessed.
- Categories – pick a primary category and up to 3 secondary ones, or keep the AI suggestion.
- Choose how it goes live: publish instantly (it appears in Latest additions right away) or schedule a launch day for the Just Launched spotlight at 09:00. Details in Instant vs Launch.
- Hit publish.
A few rules
- Anyone can submit any tool – you don't have to own it. Creating a listing doesn't give you control of it; see Creating an account for the create ≠ own model.
- Submissions are rate-limited and logged to keep spam out.
- The AI's opinions (strengths, weaknesses, best-for) are always labelled and always correctable by the verified founder – see How AI-inferred fields work.
If it's your tool
Publishing is step one. Then claim the listing to verify ownership, correct any AI fields, and get the do-follow backlink badge.
