Preview changes before saving. Revision checks protect newer edits, and retries do not apply a change twice. Changes are labelled “Owner via API”: an owner-authorized statement, with its source kept clear.

Questions about agent access
Is API access included in my Plus plan?
Yes. It is included for existing and new Plus members, including lifetime members. Plus is $49 once. There is no separate API subscription. Manual listing editing remains free.
What can my agent change?
Listing content, pricing plans, free-plan and trial details, integrations, languages, company location, social and demo links, and founder-supplied features and use cases. It cannot change listing ownership, verification, votes, rankings or Directree’s independent AI assessments.
Does Directree run the agent for me?
You connect an agent or automation you already use. Directree provides the API; your workflow decides when to read or update the listing. An API save does not trigger AI writing, website crawling or a relaunch.
Do I approve every change?
When you create an update-enabled connection, you authorize it to make ongoing changes to that listing. Approved listings update immediately. Listings still in review keep their changes staged until approval. Read-only connections cannot make changes.
What are the limits?
Each key covers one verified listing. You can have 10 active connections. The account allowance is 60 requests per minute, 1,000 requests per UTC day and 100 updates that change content per UTC day. Keys expire after 30 days, 90 days or one year, and you can revoke them sooner.
Can I connect through MCP?
Owner editing currently uses an API key and the REST API. Directree’s public MCP server supports searching and comparing the directory. Authenticated editing through MCP is outside this beta.
