Instant vs Launch: two ways to go live

Publish instantly into Latest additions, or schedule a launch day for the Just Launched spotlight at 09:00 – how the two paths work.

Instant vs Launch: two ways to go live

When you publish a listing you choose how it enters the directory. Both paths are free.

Instant publish

Your listing goes live immediately and appears in Latest additions (the New feed), newest first. It's browsable, searchable, and indexed from that moment.

Choose instant when you just want the tool listed – no event, no countdown, page live now.

Scheduled launch

Alternatively, pick a launch day. Your listing then debuts in the Just Launched section, alongside every other tool launching that day.

How the launch window works:

  • All of a day's launches go live together at 09:00 Stockholm time (CET/CEST).
  • They hold the Just Launched spotlight for a full 24 hours – until the next morning's 09:00, when the next day's launches take over.
  • After the window, the listing settles into the evergreen directory like any other – it stays in New ordering, its category, search, and its alternatives page permanently.

Choose a launch when you want a coordinated spike: tell your audience the date, gather upvotes on the day, and get the shared-spotlight effect of launching alongside other tools (like a launch-platform day, but the page keeps ranking in search forever afterward).

Which should you pick?

| | Instant | Launch | |---|---|---| | Live | Immediately | Your chosen day, 09:00 | | Feed | Latest additions (/new) | Just Launched (/launches), then /new | | Best for | Getting listed, back-catalogue tools | A launch moment with your audience ready |

Either way, the listing itself is identical – same honesty labels, same claim path, same permanence. Launching is a timing choice, not a different product.
