Overview

metrIQ is Sophia, an AI coach who sets your calorie and macro targets, learns what your body actually burns, and tells you what to do next. She starts from a formula like everyone else — then measures it against your own intake and weight and replaces it with a number that is yours. Ask her why any figure is what it is and she will show you the arithmetic. Logging takes a sentence: tell her what you ate or how training went and she handles the rest. 14 days free, no card needed.

Hi all! I am Nikos, the founder of metrIQ and would like to tell you how I ended up creating it. metrIQ started as a spreadsheet for my own training. The numbers were fine, but a spreadsheet never tells you anything — it just holds what you typed. So I switched to asking ChatGPT. It could explain things, but it started from scratch every time, answered the same question differently on different days, couldn't give me the stats I wanted, and buried it all in generic advice. I needed a coach who got to know me. So I built my own. The first version was a rough thing in Lovable, mostly because I wanted an excuse to try it. Then friends started using it, it actually helped them, and I rebuilt the whole app properly for launch. That's metrIQ. It's Sophia — she sets your calorie and macro targets, works out what your body actually burns instead of leaving you on a formula's guess, and tells you what to do next. Logging takes a sentence: tell her what you ate or how training went and she handles the rest. Ask her why a number is what it is and she'll show you the arithmetic. And every week she knows you a little better, so you never start again from nothing. I built the coach I wanted by my side. Not more information — someone who knew where I'd got to, and who was still there on the week it all went sideways.
